The short version
- In the app: Settings → Account and sync → Delete Account.
- Or email us from your account's address and we delete it for you.
- Your account, its sign-ins and every clinic it alone owns are deleted from our servers, with all their records.
- Make a Clinic Backup first if you want to keep a copy.
Who this is for
This page is for Smart Dentist for Android, published on Google Play by ZaatarLABS. Smart Dentist for Android keeps each clinic on your account on our servers, so this is how you remove it. Smart Dentist on iPhone, iPad and Mac has no account with us: its records are in your own iCloud.
Delete it in the app
- Open Smart Dentist on your Android phone or tablet.
- Optional but recommended: go to Settings → Clinic Backup and make a backup of your clinic.
- Go to Settings → Account and sync.
- Tap Delete Account, then confirm.
Or ask us to delete it
If you no longer have the app, email support@zaatarlabs.com from the email address of your account (or the Google account you sign in with), with the subject "Delete my Smart Dentist account". We confirm the request with you and delete the account within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account, your email address and name, and every way you signed in (Google or an emailed code).
- Every clinic your account alone owns, with all its records: patients and their contact details, dental and medical records, X-rays and photos, appointments, treatment plans, bills, payments, expenses and settings. Staff you invited lose access to those clinics.
- If you are a staff member of someone else's practice, your membership is removed. The practice's records stay with its owner.
What is kept, and for how long
- Deleted data leaves our servers, backups included, within 30 days.
- The copy of a clinic on your phone or tablet stays there until you delete the app or its data.
- Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions. Google keeps its own purchase records under Google's privacy policy.
- Usage measurement is never linked to your account. To delete it, turn off "Improve Smart Dentist" and "Measure ad campaigns" in the app's Settings → Privacy & Analytics.
