When more than one person works with the same patients, the plan and setup need to match the practice. Smart Dentist offers a Practice plan for the owner to invite doctors and staff to shared patient records, appointments and billing.
One plan for the practice
The owner holds the Practice plan. Invited staff do not need individual subscriptions to participate in that shared practice. Solo is the option for one dentist using their own devices; it is not the team-sharing offer.
Monthly, annual and lifetime purchase options are available. Check the local App Store for the current price and the billing terms before choosing.
Check the joining requirements
Shared practice uses iCloud. Joining starts on an iPhone or iPad running iOS/iPadOS 26 or later, signed in to the appropriate Apple Account. The owner sends an invitation for the staff member to open and accept. After joining, the practice can also be used on Mac.
Follow the current support guide for the full process, including the Apple Account used for the invitation. Do not share the owner's credentials as a shortcut. Availability of individual features can depend on platform and configuration.
Confirm the workflow together
Before moving the team's daily work, use a small demonstration workflow. Confirm that the invited person can access the intended practice and that both sides understand who is recording procedures, appointments and billing information.
Review the app's access controls and audit information for the responsibilities of your staff. If you need a particular permission or integration, confirm it directly rather than assuming it is part of every shared-practice system.
Get started
Smart Dentist is free for up to two patients. Explore the core record and treatment workflow first, then review Practice access for the team. The support guide explains setup requirements and how to contact ZaatarLABS if you need help.
