If you work on site, the paperwork happens in the van, between jobs. You need the quote out before you leave, the invoice out when the job's done, and the receipt for materials somewhere you'll find it at the end of the year.
The Smart Billing is built for that: one app on your phone, nothing to sign in to.
In short
- Quote on site and invoice when the job's done, from the same client screen.
- No account, no login, and it works offline.
- No invoice cap: plans are priced by clients and businesses, not invoices.
- Scan a receipt and the expense fills itself in.
- Reports and a VAT export for your accountant.
Quote it, then bill it
- Quote on site. Add the client, the work and the materials, and share the quotation as a PDF to WhatsApp or Mail. Each quotation has a validity date, and the app can remind you the day before it expires.
- Invoice when the job's done. Open the same client and create the bill. Items you sell or fit come from your item list, with their prices, and the stock count drops as you bill them.
- Take a deposit. Log it as an advance against the client and it comes off the final bill.
- Get paid. Record payments in full or in part and send a PDF receipt.
No login, no signal needed
There's no account to create and no password to forget. The app opens straight to your books, and it works offline, so a basement or a site with no signal doesn't stop you. Your data syncs between your iPhone, iPad and Mac through your own iCloud.
No cap on invoices
- Free: up to 2 clients.
- Basic: one business, unlimited clients, no invoice cap. $3.99 a month or $39.99 a year.
- Pro: every business you run. $6.99 a month or $69.99 a year.
- Lifetime: everything in Pro for one payment of $149.99, with no renewals.
US prices; local App Store prices vary. Subscriptions are billed by Apple and cancelled in your App Store settings. If you're moving from another app, CSV import (Settings → Import Data) brings in your clients, items, invoices and expenses.
Receipts and the year end
- Receipt scan. Photograph a receipt, or pick one from your photos, and the expense fills in the vendor, amount and date for you to check. On iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence it suggests the category too.
- Paid or unpaid. Mark expenses paid or unpaid, so supplier bills don't slip.
- Stock. Track materials and parts, with low-stock alerts.
- Reports. Revenue, profit, cash flow and expenses for any period, as PDF, plus VAT Export: each invoice and a VAT summary for your accountant. Smart Billing keeps your records; it isn't tax-filing software.

Questions
Is there a limit on how many invoices I can send?
No. Basic covers one business with unlimited clients and no invoice cap; the free plan stops at 2 clients, not at a number of invoices.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There's no account and no login. Your data stays in the app and syncs through your own iCloud.
Does it work without signal?
Yes. The app works offline, and syncs through iCloud when you're back online.
Can I send quotes?
Yes. Quotations go out as PDFs with a validity date, and the app can remind you the day before one expires. When the client agrees, you create the invoice from the same client screen.
Can I scan receipts?
Yes. Scan a receipt and the expense is filled in with the vendor, amount and date for you to check; on iOS 27 with Apple Intelligence it suggests the category too.
